Our visitation ministry is a fulfilling and meaningful way to share God’s love and the support of the church community with those who cannot physically attend church in person.
Each week the pastor and other volunteers visit area hospitals, homes, and care facilities to stay in touch with those who are unable to otherwise participate in church activities. During our visits we always enjoy conversation with one another. The pastor brings Communion and the recent week’s church bulletins, emphasizing that the church community includes even those unable to attend on Sunday mornings. A time of prayer completes the visit.
Our home-bound friends have such great stories to tell; they are a great source of wisdom and inspiration. And we’re thrilled to share the Peace of Christ with them.
If you or somebody in your family is home-bound, hospitalized, or otherwise unable to attend church activities, please let us know. Also let us know if you’re interested in volunteering to make visits. We’re happy to see this valuable ministry grow!
